Bruges - The Venice of the North! This delightful medieval city has an overall population of around 120,000 if you count all the suburbs but only 45,000 if you look at the medieval centre.
Bruges is always beautiful and this attracts 1000’s of visitors each day but, now snuggle up close coz I’m gonna whisper this bit,
most of the visitors make it a day trip so take my tip and find yourself a cosy hotel and stay over. You might manage to get a little breathing space to enjoy the city when it is quieter, in the evenings.
